Nike’s Pearl Air Foamposite Pro reissue is one of the holiday season’s most anticipated drops, but it turns out the Oregon-based sportswear brand has even more up its sleeve for the pearlescent look.
Just in time for football season, new e-commerce images have surfaced of an upcoming gridiron-ready Nike Vaporposite Pro in the Air Foamposite Pro’s classic Pearl colorway. With a pearl-colored Foamposite shell that matches that of the retro basketball sneaker, the football-ready version of the shoe features major alterations including a cleated plate on the bottom, a snug ankle cuff and a one-piece tongue construction.
As far as the colorway is concerned, Nike kept true to the original 1997 hoops look, outfitting the cleats with black detailing and red accents. A portion of the cleats even appears in a translucent finish mimicking the clear rubber bottom of the Air Foamposite Pro.

The launch marks the first time the Vaporposite Pro has been released at retail. The crossover cleats have had a spotty legacy thus far. A 2021 Galaxy-themed style was created as a player exclusive for the Oregon Ducks, and similar renditions were produced in 2019 for NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. Despite these examples, the cleats have never been mass marketed at retail until now.
In addition to the newly surfaced cleats, the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Pearl is slated to return in November for a retail price of $230. Beyond the Pearl pair, the sneaker is also scheduled for a reissue in its fan-favorite Pine Green look. And in 2026, Voltage, Gym Red and Green Camo colorways are expected.
The Nike Vaporposite Pro Pearl features a full colorway of White Pearl/True Red/Black/White and its style code is HM6870-200. Retail pricing has not yet been confirmed, but the cleats are expected to be released on Nov. 28 from select retailers.
