Nike’s Tuesday SNKRS Showcase event, a comprehensive preview of upcoming basketball releases for through early 2026, was full of notable footwear including Sabrina Ionescu’s just-unveiled Sabrina 3, the past-meets-future G.T. Future model and Ja Morant’s Ja 3, among others. The teaser also included a batch of retro basketball sneakers which offered the very first look at the 2025 iteration of the Air Foamposite Pro Pearl.
The beloved Air Foamposite Pro Pearl sneaker has been released numerous times since its original 1997 debut. Reissues occurred in 2002, 2009, 2010, and most recently, in 2015 as part of a two-sneaker Class of ’97 pack alongside the Hawk Flight model.

The style is best known for its appearance in Spike Lee’s 1998 film “He Got Game,” where it was worn by Ray Allen’s Jesus Shuttlesworth character. With a Pearl White/Black/True Red colorway, the sneaker combines a creamy colored Foamposite upper with black nubuck eyestays, carbon fiber support shanks and mesh tongue. Small hits of red appear on the heel, tongue tab, and outsole.
One of the style’s most contentious points among purists is its pearlescent finish, which has shifted to varying shades over the shoe’s many reissues. Based on what’s been shared so far of the upcoming ’25 release, it looks like the pair will closely match the appearance of the ’97 original.
Also revealed during the live stream was confirmation of the upcoming Air Foamposite Pro Pine Green retro. Along with these pairs, information regarding several more Air Foamposite Pros has recently made the rounds including Triple Black and Gym Red variations, although those colorways are not yet officially confirmed.
This year’s Nike Air Foamposite Pro Pearl has a style code of HF0794-200 and is currently slotted to be released on Nov. 8 for a retail price of $230. Readers can expect availability from Nike’s SNKRS app and select Nike Sportswear retailers.
