Another longtime Nike executive is exiting the brand.
Ron Faris, who served most recently as global vice president and general manager of Nike Virtual Studios and the “.Swoosh” brand, has joined Disney Consumer Products as senior vice president of global marketing. In his last role at Nike, Faris worked to modernize the company’s brand marketing and storytelling for Gen Z and Gen Alpha consumers through its video game, creator and social platforms. For six years prior to that, he was global vice president and general manager of Nike’s Snkrs app, the brand’s limited-edition product platform, where he spearheaded the entry of the commerce platform to 55-plus countries with more than $1.5 billion in revenue.
At Disney, Faris will oversee the company’s consumer products marketing strategies regionally and globally, as well as the organization’s games, publishing and retail businesses. He will also oversee the development and execution of immersive brand concepts and consumer experiences. He will report to Tasia Filippatos, president of Disney Consumer Products.
