Pacsun is having some “Fun” with Selena Gomez.
On Thursday, the Californian surf-and-skate retailer announced the second iteration of its Rare Dnm Edit collection created in partnership with the Rare Impact Fund.
Founded by the multi-hyphenate mogul in 2020, the Rare Impact Fund exists to de-stigmatize mental health with “stigma-free support” and “culturally responsive resources.” The public charity is raising $100 million to support aligned service organizations and education resources for young people across the globe.
Following last October’s inaugural drop and aligned with the Newport-native brand’s PacCare initiative, 10 percent of sales are funneled to the fiscally-sponsored project of the Hopewell Fund as it works to make youth-centric mental health resources more accessible.
Since that first collection, the initiative has raised over $70,000 in support of youth mental health, Pacsun said. Alternatively, shoppers can donate $2 at checkout. Either way, the Pinterest partner’s donation will cap at $580,000, as stated on the collection’s landing page—though other pages claim a maximum of $200,000.
The spring 2025 drop features reissued a few best-sellers as well as new pieces. The former includes tinted light indigo braided high-waisted baggy jeans and a rigid-yet-relaxed fit featuring rhinestones. The latter includes warmer weather pieces like the studied mid-rise denim mini skirt and a matching cropped denim trucker jacket.
Looking to the festival circuit is the light indigo pearl bow shorts. The rigid, 11-inch rise raw cut-offs offer a high-rise, relaxed fit adorned with faux pearl bow details with rhinestones. For men, the edit endorses denim-on-denim and jacquard prints—an overall embracement of Y2K nostalgia, complete with a denim chain mixed with pearls.
The collection ranges from $68-$100 and is available in stores across the United States as well as on the internet.
