Copenhagen Fashion Week held up its reputation for being a hotbed for interesting street style.
Attendees prepared for the winter event last month by donning heavyweight denim, serious layers and creative layering.
Baggy and wide-leg jeans are omnipresent during the week. Most puddled over an array of sneakers and boots like Timberland’s wheat work boot and silver cowboy boots.
Dark indigo, yellow tints and dirty washes fit the wintery mood. Lighter washes with a vintage look were popular choices for classic double-denim looks.
Subtle details like workwear-inspired stitching on jeans were common, however, there were some bolder moments. Jeans and jackets with all-over tonal patchwork were worn separately and together. Organic prints and textures achieved through laser technology also decorated denim.
Elements of Y2K glam were seen like cropped jeans trimmed with crystal fringe and a pair of Chanel jeans embroidered with the house’s interlocking double C logo. In another nod to the era, some fashion week goers styled tunics, skirts and dresses over jeans.
Winter essentials like furry hats, Sherpa-lined vests and extra-long scarves pulled the looks together.
