Gap collaborated with Disney‘s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” on a new limited-edition collection of apparel infused with the iconography of the Tim Burton stop motion 1993 animated film.
The capsule collection, featuring 24 new pieces of apparel and references to characters like Sally and Jack Skellington, officially launches on Gap’s website on Thursday. Per the brand, the Gap x “Nightmare Before Christmas” collaboration celebrates “misfits, rule-breakers, and every soul who celebrates the strange and the spirited.”

The limited-edition collection includes styles for adults, kids and apparel for infants in moody, wearable colorways. Styles featured in the collection include oversized fleece hoodies, skull-covered denim, graphic tees, flannel pajamas and accessories.
“Our ongoing partnership with Disney continues to evolve in exciting ways, and the Disney Tim Burton’s ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ collection showcases how we can tap into beloved stories to create something completely fresh,” Fabiola Torres, Gap’s global chief marketing officer, told WWD via email.
“We’re bringing Disney Tim Burton’s distinctive aesthetic into Gap’s signature silhouettes, giving families new ways to connect with characters they love through elevated, wearable design while activating at the intersection of fashion and culture.”
Gap’s “Nightmare Before Christmas” collaboration comes on the heels of the brand’s deepening partnership with Disney. Beginning in June, members of Gap Inc.’s loyalty program could start earning Disney+ offers, while Disney+ subscribers received offers across Gap Inc. brands via Disney+ Perks.
Gap Inc.’s loyalty program offers customers an opportunity to earn and redeem points across all four of the group’s brands. Disney+ Perks is Disney’s new loyalty program, which launched in May.
Another brand under Gap Inc.’s umbrella, Old Navy partnered with Disney on a summer collection for the whole family. The Old Navy x Disney collection, which debuted in May, featured denim, T-shirts, swimwear and accessories featuring such characters as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto and Donald Duck.
