Kate Hudson put a lacy, floral spin on her recent sheer-styling-streak look for the “Song Sung Blue” premiere in London on Friday night with her costar Hugh Jackman.
The Oscar-nominated actress, styled by Sophie Lopez, opted for a long-sleeve Stella McCartney gown with a bevy of floral embroidery. Crafted in a gray-blue tone and adorned with black gemstones, the floor-length gown featured a delicate, botanical-inspired lacy design throughout.
The lace fabric acted as an overlay against the flesh-toned minidress worn beneath the gray-blue fabric, featuring slightly exaggerated shoulders for a proportionally playful silhouette. Hudson opted for platform pumps to accentuate her look in a similar silver-tone sheen.

As for jewelry pieces, Hudson went minimal, favoring instead to keep her gown the focal point of her red carpet style selection. Her glam also indulged in minimalism. Hudson’s hair was styled with a middle part and worn straight and down, while her makeup included such highlights as lined eyes and a glossy lip.
On the European leg of her “Song Sung Blue” promotional tour, Hudson’s already put her own spin on method dressing, nodding to the title of the film with an electric sheer dress worn to the Berlin premiere of the movie on Wednesday night.
Hudson styled a custom Vera Wang gown for the occasion, featuring cutouts at the back and fabric draping throughout. Hudson’s black peekaboo layering bra was worn beneath, designed with straps at the back that created angular lines for a sharp juxtaposition. Final touches to her Berlin red carpet look included Andrea Wazen pumps and jewelry pieces by David Yurman and Nikos Koulis.
