Margot Robbie looked to the McQueen runway for her style inspiration at Tuesday night’s “1536” West End opening night in London.
The Oscar-nominated actress and producer turned to the British luxury label’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection. The suited ensemble emphasized militaristic utility, with a long-sleeve jacket embroidered with muted gold sinuous motifs.
Robbie paired the jacket with low-rise tapered trousers. The rest of Robbie’s look went for subdued styling, including pointed-toe heels. Accessories were minimal with a pair of small gold hoops.

The McQueen Manta clutch also served as another standout element of Robbie’s look. Retailing for $1,690, the Manta clutch is a reinterpretation of an archival silhouette from the British luxury label in black napa calf leather. The clutch is crafted with a sculptural construction with folded upper edges and a rigid wave-shaped base.
Under the creative direction of Seán McGirr, McQueen’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection made its runway debut during Paris Fashion Week in October 2025. The collection “brimmed with erotic tension,” per Joelle Diderich’s WWD review of the collection.
“A blue police officer’s uniform shirt was sexed up with a corset, while pencil skirts came in an array of fabrications, from shredded white denim to faded floral jacquard and black leather dotted with rings and fringes. Dresses in a sizzling red rose print were slashed across the hip or fastened with corset lacing,” Diderich wrote.
“Overall, the collection reflected a more pragmatic approach that should support the ailing label’s ongoing restructuring — and McGirr still delivered some red carpet stunners.”
“1536” is a play written by Ava Pickett that follows three women in 1536 Tudor England, whose lives begin to unravel as word spreads of Anne Boleyn’s execution by order of her husband, King Henry VIII. Robbie serves as a producer for the West End production.
