Kate Hudson took sartorial inspiration from her latest film in a sheer electric blue dress by Vera Wang for the “Song Sung Blue” premiere in Berlin on Wednesday night.
The Oscar-nominated actress, who was styled by Sophie Lopez, was draped in sheer fabric with a vibrant electric blue shade. The dress featured long sleeves and a draped silhouette, providing effortless movement to the piece. Sheer styling was the dominant element defining the look.
The dress’ back also revealed a plunging line with Hudson’s peekaboo bra top in black creating sharp, distinct lines for a geometric appearance. The black elements of Hudson’s look were further accentuated by her Andrea Wazen pumps, featuring lacy detailing.

As for accessories, Hudson opted for statement diamond earrings in blacked gold by Nikos Koulis. She also wore a David Yurman ring with the same black motif, tying the color palette of her look together.
Hudson’s makeup look, featuring lined eyes and a glossy lip, was curated by artist Naoko Sofia Patrizia Scintu, while her hair was pulled back into a low bun by Peter Gray.
While creating custom designs for stars like Kate Hudson, Vera Wang has also expanded her fashion enterprise. Brand management and acquisitions firm WHP Global acquired Wang’s fashion brand in 2024, and Wang, still serving as founder and chief creative officer of her eponymous label, also became a WHP Global shareholder.
Earlier this November, Wang and Yehuda Shmidman, chief executive officer of WHP Global, spoke on an apparel and retail panel as part of WWD’s CEO summit.
“You have to be able to pivot, you have to be able to think out of the box, particularly in these times,” Wang said on the panel, referencing how the designer continues to drive her business performance while also empowering creative talent. “And I think one thing’s sort of exciting, despite the uncertainty we experience as an industry, is the fact you go to other places which would have been unthinkable even five years ago.”
Hudson’s new film “Song Sung Blue,” costarring Hugh Jackman, follows a husband and wife Neil Diamond tribute act as they experience immense success and heartbreak. The film hits theaters Dec. 25.
