Kate Hudson popped in her Tod’s maxidress on the arrival carpet of the “Marty, Life Is Short” premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
The two-time Oscar-nominated actress wore a design from the Italian luxury fashion label’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection. Hudson styled the marigold pashmy suede sleeveless column gown from the curation, which made its debut as part of Milan Fashion Week in September 2025.
Hudson kept the warm tonal color scheme of her attire going with her jewelry. The “Song Sung Blue” star wore rings and earrings sourced from Beladora Jewelry. As for glam, the “Running Point” star’s hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, with serene makeup styling. Hudson’s look was curated by styling duo Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn.

Tod’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection was curated by creative director Matteo Tamburini, who was appointed to the role in December 2023. The collection was inspired by the book “An Italian Summer” by Claude Nori.
“The color palette was mainly of warm and natural tones with burnt hues and saffron yellow accents on the soft Pashmy caban and the perforated napa jacket, for example,” Luisa Zargani wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.
“Leather — where Tod’s expertise lies — was seen on flip-flops and new loafers were presented with rich and thick multicolored leather threading done by hand,” Zargani wrote.
“Also attractive were the cotton trenches that showed inside details with sartorial leather inserts. Stripes have been a recurring theme in some Milan collections and Tamburini’s take on the motif was eye-catching and fun. Regimental stripes made with thin leather strips in different colors were sewn onto light poplin in men’s shirts that morphed into minidresses.”
“Marty, Life Is Short” is a documentary about the life and career of actor and comedian Martin Short. The film debuts May 12 on Netflix.
