LOS ANGELES — The red-carpet race is on, but it’s a bit low on fashion powerhouses.
Nominations for the 59th annual Primetime Emmys, which kick off Hollywood’s awards season, were announced Thursday. Although TV-land has been less sparkling in the dressing department since “Sex and the City” went off the air, perhaps this year nominated actresses such as Kyra Sedgwick, Minnie Driver and Debra Messing will take up the sartorial slack at the show. The Emmys will be broadcast on FOX at 8 p.m. Sept. 16, from the Shrine Auditorium here.
