The 2024 CMT Music Awards, now in its 23rd edition, are held at the Moody Center in Austin, on Sunday. Kelsea Ballerini returns as host of the ceremony — recognizing the biggest names in country music.
Ballerini, the American country pop singer, songwriter and four-time Grammy Awards nominee, is back for the fourth consecutive year as host of the CMT Music Awards. The 30-year-old will also be entertaining the crowd with a performance of “Love Me Like You Mean It.” And she’s up for a big award of the night: Video of the Year for “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too).” She’s among three nominees, alongside Cody Johnson for “The Painter” and Jelly Roll for “Need a Favor.”

Musical duo Brooks & Dunn, Lainey Wilson and Sammy Hagar will also take the stage for a performance. They will present a tribute to the late CMT Award winner and country music star Toby Keith, who passed away on Feb. 5 at the age of 62.
Trisha Yearwood — the 59-year-old American country singer — is receiving the inaugural June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award, which recognizes “an artist, duo/group or industry veteran who demonstrates an exceptional dedication to the community and their fellow artists as Cash did.” She will also perform, as will Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Brittney Spencer, Old Dominion and more.
Among presenters are Billy Bob Thornton, Emma Roberts, Gayle King, Melissa Etheridge, Minnie Driver and Jane Seymour.
