Maximalism is in for Milkwhite.
The Greek brand’s denim sub-label, Milkwhite Jeans, launched a blinged-out collection of jeans, cropped jackets and trench coats for spring. The addition of faux rubies, emeralds and sapphires delivers an opulent and regal look to the Y2K-inspired trend.
Washed black trouser jeans are adorned with bands of the baubles. White crystals and small pearls are also used. Matching cropped jackets are embellished as well. Each jacket has a faux snake collar that coordinates with the color of the crystals.
The made in Greece collection is a colorful addition to the diamond-like denim that has been heating up thanks in part to Gen Z’s love for Y2K styling and two of music’s biggest stars wearing the trend.
In December, Beyoncé posted to Instagram photos of her wearing Pat.Bo’s crystal-embellished denim bra top, jeans and puffer coat. New York label Area reaped the benefits of Taylor Swift wearing their crystal-trimmed jeans to the Super Bowl earlier this month. The jeans sold out on the brand’s website and premium shopping app Lyst said searches for the $695 jeans spiked 331 percent after the game.
White crystals are also used in Milkwhite’s collection. Rhinestone-covered charms that spell out the brand’s name dangle from the cuffs of baggy jeans and the hems of cropped jean jackets. The charms also decorate an indigo trench coat.
A denim bra top and a mini bustier dress round out the collection, which is available now on the brand’s website. It retails for 119 euros to 345 euros ($129-$373).
