Levi’s is strengthening its position in the Canadian market.
The San Francisco-based denim brand has partnered with Haven, a premium menswear retailer with stores in Vancouver and Toronto. The stores will carry Levi’s men’s products, including the Levi’s Vintage Clothing (LVC) label and made in Japan styles online and in-store, with new drops planned for 2025.
On Thursday, Haven hosted a special event with Levi’s at the Toronto store, offering complimentary chain stitching and customization with any purchase of LVC products.
The pop-up featured a custom quilt made from vintage denim by local Toronto artist Justin Ming Yong, honoring the significance of denim in fashion. The quilt is constructed from multiple pairs of vintage Levi’s jeans, in an assortment of washes and varying degrees of wear.
Founded in 2006 by brothers Arthur and Daniel Chmielewski, Haven is known for its curation of innovative lifestyle and streetwear brands. For denim, the retailer carries Auralee, Beams, Human Made, Kapital, Needles, Neighborhood, Sacai, Visvim and more.
Haven’s eponymous house brand specializes in functional performance-driven fashion to combat Canada’s subzero temperatures and rainfall.
“Levi’s has a proven history of providing quality, innovative and culturally relevant products that has long defined the denim category and, importantly, resonates with Haven shoppers who are looking for purposeful, functional design,” said Arthur Chmielewski, Haven co-founder and creative director. “We are proud to partner with such an iconic brand and celebrate the new offerings with our fans throughout the region.”
As a trusted men’s retailer in Canada, Levi’s aims to build custom loyalty through its partnership with Haven.
“The male consumer is increasingly interested in contemporary, independent fashion, where Levi’s is uniquely positioned to deliver,” said Vicky Skelton, managing director for Levi Strauss & Co. Canada. “Whether it’s through our own dedicated shopping channels or through valuable partnerships with leading retailers like Haven, the Levi’s brand is showing up where our shoppers are in the Canadian market and showcasing our denim authority.”
Levi’s partnership with Haven follows the opening of three new mainline Levi’s stores in Canada. Last month, the company opened stores in Kelowna, Toronto and Midtown Saskatoon—regions where Levi’s online sales are strong. More store openings are planned for next year.
