G-Star Raw has carved a niche in the denim market with its utilitarian and architectural approach to jeans. Now the Dutch brand is taking these tools to sharpen classic denim silhouettes.
On Monday, the brand launched ClassiQ, a men’s and women’s collection of refined styles built on durable construction, premium materials and iconic fits.
Whereas the brand’s “The Denim” series is pushing the boundaries of jeans through creative collaborations, ClassiQ is targeted to consumers who chooses clean, high-quality five-pocket denim. Though the category has always been part of G-Star’s DNA, the brand said it is now positioned with greater focus, consistency, and strategic clarity.
ClassiQ builds on existing G-Star styles, such as the Kate Boyfriend for women and the men’s Morry, Dakota, Deeggie and Mosa.
The collection also introduces new fits such as the Lennoxx, a women’s slim straight fit built for versatility. Clean lines and a balanced shape make the jean an essential style for women, designed to work across washes and styling, according to the brand.
The Roxx is a women’s wide-leg jean is designed “to feel effortless yet intentional.” The jeans are made with 100 percent regenerative cotton.
The men’s Streem is a slim tapered fit, defined by a deep back yoke for added shape. The jean is finished with triple-needle stitching and a patched-on fly.
“ClassiQ reveals another side of our offering, one that may be less loud and familiar, but is just as fundamental,” said Gwenda van Vliet, G-Star chief brand officer. She added that the collection provides consumers “a clear destination for premium, timeless denim” in a way that is uniquely G-Star.
ClassiQ is available now at select retailers and on G-Star’s website.
