Sharon Wauchob evoked a dreamy mood with her spring show, blending gossamer lingerie pieces, mannish pajama silks and some of the coolest trenchcoats seen on a London runway.
There were nods to the boudoir in most of the exits: in the layers of delicate point d’esprit lace; in the lounge-y pants in crinkled silks, and in those cool coats with their shirttail hems and caped tops that allowed arms to go through sleeves or dangle freely.
Wauchob also bet the farm on pleats — randomly spaced on sporty outwear, densely gathered for clinging, silvery dresses.
The Irish designer recently bid farewell to Paris after 20 years and relocated to London to tap into the city’s “youth and positivity.” The fresh air seems to be doing her good.
