Alessandro Dell’Acqua definitely has a cool factor.
The Neapolitan designer delivered another strong collection for his No. 21 label, which is shifting from the contemporary segment to affordable luxury.
The lineup’s masculine attitude was softened via the insertion of feminine elements — but don’t think Gucci’s Alessandro Michele, since Dell’Acqua has been doing this for years. Sporty canvas anoraks and parkas, embellished with ribbons and velvet patches, were layered over silk tank tops, while fluid wrinkled twill was crafted into a zippered blouse with a romantic feel.
The designer also introduced on-trend mohair pieces in a leopard pattern. The result was a relaxed collection that was heavy on casualwear and reflected the designer’s signature effortless elegance.
