Zendaya‘s latest “Challengers” look references the film’s promotional artwork.
On Saturday, her stylist, Law Roach, shared a post to Instagram featuring the starlet dressed in a custom Celia Kritharioti minidress. The crystallized frock features bell sleeves and a pattern based on a “Challengers” movie poster showcasing Zendaya’s character, Tashi Donaldson.
“@challengersmovie but make it FASHION…..Tashi Made Her Wear It. Thank you @celiakritharioti for bringing the Challengers Movie Poster to life,” Roach wrote in the caption.

In a carousel post, the image architect showed how the dress came to life, including a photo of its pattern. Zendaya styled her custom ensemble with a pair of embellished white pumps.
Kritharioti also created another look for the actress during her “Challengers” press tour. Zendaya sported a plunging neon green gown at an after party for the Los Angeles premiere, which came adorned with a tennis ball at the midsection.
On Thursday, Zendaya appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” to discuss how she prepared for her latest role.
Speaking to host Clarkson, Zendaya shared her experience training for the sport. “I wish I could say that I was better at tennis,” she admitted.
Clarkson shared a video of Zendaya practicing alongside her tennis double, Kara Hall. “As you can see, she’s working with a ball, and I am next to her without a ball,” the actress joked. Luckily, her previous training as a dancer came in handy.
“We did tennis training for several weeks and I was really beating myself up because one day you feel like, ‘OK I got this’ and the next day you come in and you don’t got it,” Zendaya continued. “So I was like, ‘I wonder if I took the ball out of the equation.’ I just tried to say, ‘How can I get into this physically in a way that makes sense for me?’ Well, I am a dancer, I do have some of that left in me, so let me try to approach this from a dancer’s perspective.”
“Challengers,” out now, follows retired tennis pro Tashi Donaldson, who finds herself in a love triangle with two fellow athletes. Costarring Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist, the film is directed by “Call Me By Your Name” helmer Luca Guadagnino.
