Inside the Grand Palais on Tuesday morning, Naomi Campbell juxtaposed Chanel‘s delicate approach to the wild outdoors with an unruly hairstyle reminiscent of the ’80s rocker uniform.
The international supermodel cut a bespoke forest green tweed set with a teased, half-up ‘do inspired by the hardcore rock music era. Her dark locks were brushed back into a BumpIt on the crown of her head; only two pieces left behind on her forehead. The hair around her ears was pinned back in the lift, muting the volume on the sides to embellish the protruding shape on top. The style resembled Janet Jackson’s trademark hair in the ’80s, minus the frizz.

Typically, Campbell collaborates with hair artist Guido Palau, the man responsible for reimagining styles of the past in new, avant-garde forms. On Monday, Palau helped breathe life into Daniel Roseberry’s latest couture collection for Schiaparelli, paring down the models’ tresses in slicked-back buns to accentuate the shapes and silhouettes of the garments. That same sleek aesthetic was bestowed upon the models on Chanel’s runway; however, it’s not certain Palau was behind it. It’s also not confirmed whether he partnered with Campbell to design her hair for the show either.
With Campbell’s eyes shielded under enlarged shades, her eye makeup was left to the imagination; only her pink lip shade and brown lip liner were caught on camera. That said, a faint layer of blush was visible on her cheekbones when Campbell turned to the side.
It’s a rarity when Campbell decides to remove her sunglasses in public. In fact, the last time she ditched the covering was for the Cannes Film Festival in May. There, she boasted a dramatic winged eyeliner and silver shadow undercutting her brow bone. The tip of her nose and the high points of her cheekbones were dotted with highlighter, embellishing the shape of her face.
Back at the Grand Palais on Tuesday, Chanel’s studio team didn’t veer too far from the natural beauty path, leaving the models’ faces mostly bare. Alex Consani, for example, looked to be wearing no makeup, flashing an even complexion and bleached brows as she strutted down the runway. Spiky buns replaced long, flowing hair for utility purposes, in line with the outdoorsy mood of the garments.
Campbell joined a slew of house ambassadors and A-listers in the front row for the fall 2025 couture collection show, alongside Lorde, Gracie Abrams, Laufey and Monégasque model Charlotte Casiraghi.
