Kacey Musgraves brought a vintage pinup moment to the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards carpet in Las Vegas on Sunday, wearing a black velvet Tanner Fletcher fall 2026 dress with ivory ruffled trim before performing during the awards show.
The “I Remember Everything” singer arrived in a strapless black velvet dress from Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell’s fall 2026 collection. The fitted dress had a sweetheart neckline edged in ivory ruffles, with the same pale trim curling into mirrored scrolls over the bust before running in long, curved lines down the front.
Musgraves kept the styling close to the dress’s retro mood. She wore her dark hair in brushed-out waves, with a small kiss curl set on her forehead. She added a red lip, winged liner and pearl drop earrings — precise pinup cues against the black velvet and ivory trim. She completed the look with black pumps.

The dress appeared on Tanner Fletcher’s fall 2026 runway with opera-length black gloves, black sunglasses and pointed heels. In his WWD review of the collection, Ari Stark singled out the dress as “a black velvet gown with whipped cream ruffles,” noting that Tanner Fletcher’s evening pieces held onto the “bygone femininity” that has become central to the brand.
Musgraves has used the ACM Awards for more playful fashion before. In 2019, she arrived in an ombré Christian Cowan two-piece suit from the designer’s Powerpuff Girls collection for International Women’s Day.
The appearance also came shortly after Musgraves opened up her own wardrobe. On April 30, Depop unveiled a Shop Drop with the singer tied to her album “Middle of Nowhere,” featuring 20 pieces from her personal closet, including items from the “Dry Spell” music video, tours, appearances and everyday life. Proceeds from the sale benefited the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights.
