The 2025 Toronto International Film Festival kicked off on Sept. 4 and concludes Sept. 14. Premieres include Rian Johnson’s latest “Knives Out” film, “Wake Up Dead Man,” Channing Tatum’s new vehicle, “Roofman,” and the documentary “John Candy: I Like Me.”
The annual festival is a stop for awards season hopefuls, vying for distribution, recognition and word-of-mouth hype ahead of the Golden Globes, Academy Awards and more come winter 2025 and 2026.
Elle Fanning was among the fashionable celebrities who hit the red carpet for the first wave of films on Sept. 4, wearing a look from Valentino’s resort 2026 collection at the premiere of her film “Sentimental Value.”
Angelina Jolie, meanwhile, brought her signature minimalist approach to fashion, wearing a Gabriela Hearst trenchcoat dress with subtle elements of suited styling at the premiere of her film “Couture.”
