Celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, the Billboard Latin Music Awards is returning this year on Oct. 5.
Live from Miami, at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Fla., the award show will recognize legendary Latin artists and newcomers, including Peso Pluma, Bad Bunny, Shakira, Grupo Frontera, Karol G and more.
For the past 20 years, the annual show has been held during the same time as Billboard Latin Music Week, which, according to the publication, is the largest gathering of the Latin music industry. From Oct. 2 to 6 the event features, panels, fan experiences and exclusive performances.

Who are the performers?
Calibre 50, Chiquis, El Alfa, Yandel, Marshmello and Peso Pluma are among this year’s performers. In April, Pluma became the first regional Mexican artist to perform at “The Late Night Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and is the number-five most streamed artist in the history of Spotify.
In addition, Eladio Carrión, Justin Quiles, Los Ángeles Azules, Manuel Turizo, Tini and Myke Towers will hit the stage.
How to watch the red carpet and award show
The 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards will air live on Telemundo and stream on the Telemundo app and Peacock. The red carpet arrivals begin at 5:45 p.m. EST followed by a pre-show hosted by Carlos Adyan at 7 p.m. EST; both are free to watch on YouTube. Telemundo is also available for a free trial on Hulu.
Who are the nominees/finalists?
Leading the finalists for prestigious awards is Mexican artist Peso Pluma, with 15 nominations including one for Artist of the Year. Other finalists include Bad Bunny, Grupo Frontera, Karol G, Shakira and Fuerza Regida.
With 48 categories spanning across tropical, Latin pop and regional Mexican genres, the Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to Los Ángeles Azules, and Ivy Queen is the recipient of the Icon Award.
