2025 will go down as a milestone year for one of Nike’s most ubiquitous sneakers, the triple-white Air Force 1.
The timeless look went viral in April when Nike released a pre-distressed “Dirty Triple White” variation of the retro basketball model. The sneaker has also received numerous premium updates. Before 2025 comes to a close, the shoe will undergo yet another significant upgrade which preps it for wet weather.
The latest variation of the white Nike Air Force 1 Low of note is a Summit White/Smoke Gray/Light Bone/Speed Yellow colorway, but it’s not the colors that make this pair unique, it’s the construction. The upper is equipped with a Gore-Tex membrane which is both breathable and waterproof — a feature which has been applied to fall/winter Air Force 1 styles in the past. It’s presented a bit differently this go around; the toe box’s traditional perforations are visible but not fully punched through.
But the biggest change to this upcoming Air Force 1 is on its outsole, which replaces Nike’s typical rubber compound with an extra-durable, Vibram-manufactured rubber. It’s not the first time Nike has worked with Vibram on footwear — that began with 2019’s Free TR Flyknit 3 collaboration with designer Matthew M. Williams — but it’s the first time the Italian company’s rubber has been featured on the iconic Air Force 1.
