Lil Uzi Vert is the star of Vans‘ newest Premium Old Skool campaign, showcasing the brand’s iconic sneaker.
In line with Vans’ dedication to moving culture forward via non-conformity and the evolution of legacy, Lil Uzi Vert is photographed wearing the Old Skool, the long-beloved sneaker style which dates back to 1977. The brand draws parallels between Vans Old Skool and Lil Uzi Vert because he “transcends music, fashion and skateboarding to form a unique perspective across self-expression and individuality.”
Growing up in Philadelphia, the artist developed an interest in skateboarding and punk influences, which differentiated him from the crowd, proving to be essential elements in shaping his identity and personal style.

In the campaign, Lil Uzi Vert models the Premium Old Skool in Black/White and Old Skool in True White, both of which are available now. The shoes complement a casual ensemble of pants and a sweatshirt, which are enhanced by an ombre spiky hairstyle and a variety of jewelry.
It was announced earlier this year that the Old Skool sneaker would be reimagined, offering an updated insole to improve comfort.
“What we continue to try to drive toward as a company is maintaining this sense of heritage, this sense of the familiar and keeping that kind of core spirit alive, and then modernizing it through elevated materials, construction,” said Diandre Fuentes, head designer of footwear at Vans, via statement. “Once you put it on, you’ll immediately notice enhanced comfort.”
Among his fashion pursuits, Lil Uzi Vert has also collaborated with Marc Jacobs — he attended the brand’s spring 2025 show during New York Fashion Week in February wearing a custom outfit by the brand with a spiky black hairstyle.
