Nike’s ’90s Hybrid Sneaker to Launch in Three Colors for Air Max Day

A trio of region-exclusive Division Street x Nike Air Max 95/97 styles for the Oregon Ducks.

After an early preview was shared on social media last week, official launch details for the University of Oregon-themed Division Street x Nike Air Max 95/97 sneaker collaboration have been announced, and the project is even bigger than originally expected. Not only will the previously seen gold-and-green “Storm” colorway be included, but the collection also features two additional colorways for the first-of-its-kind hybrid sneaker.

Timed to coincide with Nike’s annual Air Max Day celebration, the three-sneaker Division Street x Nike Air Max 95/97 “Ducks of a Feather” collection features an Air Max 97 upper has been fused with the sole of the Air Max 95.

In a press release, Division Street partner GOAT says the three-sneaker group is inspired by the concept of “Nature Reimagined.” Furthermore, it references Oregon’s Pacific Northwest locale and the area’s natural beauty. To achieve this, Division Street crafted three nature-themed colorways of the Nike Air Max 95/97 in “Lightning,” “Thunder,” and “Storm.”

The “Lightning” Division Street x Nike Air Max 95/97 mixes a singular rainbow-tinged synthetic panel with silver paneling. And at its Air Max 95 midsole, the Air units are colored green and feature a glow-in-the-dark treatment. A raffle for the “Lightning” style will open March 15 with pick ups in-store exclusively at Flight Club Tokyo on March 21. The pair will then receive a GOAT app launch in the Asia-Pacific region on March 24.

Opting for a darker look, the “Thunder” Division Street x Nike Air Max 95/97 uses a mostly black upper with the addition of green-to-gold color shifting synthetic material. The “Thunder” pair also features glow-in-the-dark Air units, this time in yellow. A launch will take place exclusively from the GOAT app on March 21 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Rounding out the “Ducks of a Feather” group is the colorway that was first seen on Friday. The iridescent “Storm” style blends gold and a green-to-gold color shift resulting in the most metallic effect of the three. This pair will be exclusive to the U.S. in-store with March 22 launches at Flight Club’s Los Angeles, New York and Miami locations. It will also be released globally on the GOAT app on March 26, which is Air Max Day.

Retail pricing for the Division Street x Nike Air Max 95/97 “Ducks of a Feather” collection has not yet been confirmed, but this story will be updated with any new announcements.
