Xtratuf is bringing a dose of childhood color to its Alaska-proven silhouettes this holiday season. The brand has teamed with Sesame Street on a limited-edition collection that reimagines its waterproof deck boots through the lens of Big Bird, Elmo and Cookie Monster.
“Xtratuf has become a rain boot staple for families around the world,” Mike Roundhouse, vice president and general manager of Xtratuf, said via press release. “We wanted to create something fun that captures the feel-good energy of Sesame Street while staying true to our performance heritage.”

The collaboration spans three men’s, two women’s and seven kids’ boots, each blending the brand’s performance construction with the show’s playful visual language.

For men, the Ankle Deck Boot appears in three versions: a black boot with multicolor character-themed lining at the ankle and green and yellow pull tabs, a navy pair with striped gussets in red and blue and a bright blue style with cookie-print accents. Each retails between $130 and $140 and maintains Xtratuf’s F’s slip-resistant sole and waterproof rubber shell.
The women’s range includes a yellow Big Bird–themed Ankle Deck Boot detailed with pink and orange gussets and a printed heel graphic, priced at $130, and a 15-inch brown Legacy Boot lined in a multicolor character print, offered as an online exclusive at $170.
The kids’ lineup mirrors the adults’ silhouettes in scaled-down versions: a vibrant multi-character print, a white boot with pastel hearts and faces and a red Elmo style among seven total designs. Each pair is fully waterproof with pull tabs and flexible soles for easy wear, retailing between $58 and $75.
This isn’t the first time Sesame Street has done a shoe collaboration this year, either. Back in March, the brand teamed up with Reebok on a Sesame Street sneaker collection for kids, inspired by beloved characters like Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby and Big Bird.
