Sarah Jessica Parker made a case for power clashing on Monday in New York, styling snakeskin peep-toe pumps with jewel-tones and various textures at New 42 Studios’ 25th Anniversary Luncheon.
Parker, who cohosted the event with Jonathan Groff, wore brown-and-beige reptile-print pumps with slim stiletto heels and thin ankle straps. The staple silhouette has long been part of her shoe rotation, tied to her Carrie Bradshaw-era embrace of animal textures.
Her outfit leaned further into contrast. She opted for houndstooth midi skirt, paired with jewel-toned blouse, while a studded purple bucket bag added another layer of texture.
Snakeskin has been in heavy rotation for Parker this year. In May, she appeared in Paris at an “And Just Like That…” photo call in archival Jimmy Choo boots from 2000, a knee-high python-printed style recently revived as part of the brand’s 1997–2001 capsule. Days later, she reflected on another archival moment during an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, where host Alex Cooper surprised her with the feathered Jimmy Choo sandals Carrie Bradshaw lost while running for the Staten Island Ferry. That same reissue drop also included the “Leo” leopard heel, an animal-print favorite featured in the series’ opening credits.

The reptilian trend has gained traction across celebrity wardrobes this year, from Miu Miu sneakers to Rihanna’s repeated wear of Amina Muaddi’s Barbara boot. Parker has been among the celebrities embracing the return of the pattern.
For Parker, the snakeskin pump continues to sit at the intersection of Carrie Bradshaw nostalgia and her own day-to-day style — a shape that reads both timeless and unmistakably hers.
