Sabrina Carpenter kept the butter yellow trend alive at the 2027 Dior cruise show in Los Angeles on Wednesday with satin slingbacks and a matching sheer dress from the cruise collection.
Carpenter donned a footwear style that was introduced once creative director Jonathan Anderson took over at Dior with Nina Christen on his team as design director of shoes. Debuting in the spring 2026 show last year, the Dior Bow heeled slingback subtly and uniquely nods to the house with a D-shaped sole — curved on one side and pointed on the other. A strap across the toes is adorned with a thick bow bearing the Dior name, while a slingback strap secures the style in back and a tapered heel elevates the set. The Dior website says the silhouette “celebrates elegance through one of the house’s eternal symbols: the bow.”
Carpenter’s slingbacks matched a high-neck, sheer butter yellow dress with white accents which was also modeled on the runway as part of the cruise show; the garment featured thin pleating and dramatic floral-like embellishments at the skirt. The musician wore the dress over lacy white undergarments. Unifying the look, she carried a butter yellow purse with a floral embellishment and wore a lacy white bow in her hair.

The Dior Bow heeled slingback has been presented in several materials and colorways in addition to different heel heights. Anya Taylor-Joy, for example, has worn them in white while Natalie Portman has showcased them in blue satin. The brand is also offering a light gray pair in virgin wool and cashmere in addition to the Check’n’Dior pattern version inspired by British tailoring and tartan traditions. In the same family of shoes, the Dior Bow Slide, meanwhile, is a flat mule style offered in several iterations as well.
