Pamela Anderson left behind her pumps during an outing in London on Tuesday, instead bringing a unique touch to her preppy butter yellow ensemble with a pair of transparent mesh sneakers from Jacquemus, taking part in the clear shoe trend which has seen a great deal of celebrity support lately.
Anderson wore the Jacquemus sneaker style, referred to as The Tennis, in a colorway called Off-White. This style features a transparent mesh and suede upper that reveals a significant portion of the foot. The silhouette features an almond toe and slim sole, fitting in with the trendy low-profile sneaker look that’s made waves in the industry lately.
The shoes served as a complement to a pale yellow Polo Ralph Lauren cable knit pullover and a full-length dress — or skirt. The actress previously embraced the butter yellow trend at the Gotham Awards in December with a strapless Oscar de la Renta gown.

The Tennis style from Jacquemus is offered in other non-transparent suede iterations in earthy tones, including crocodile-embossed options. The mesh and suede version worn by Anderson retails for $550. These shoes are a part of a larger ongoing trend of clear footwear, often seen applied to heel styles, ranging from Marilyn Monroe reinventing the same pair of platforms with interchangeable ribbons in the fifties to Rita Ora recently stepping out in Sportmax mesh pumps with a plexiglass wedge heel.
This is one of the more casual ensembles Anderson has been wearing lately; she is currently promoting the film “The Naked Gun” and attended its premiere in London on Tuesday, wearing a violet Rodarte strapless gown. And she wore a black Ferragamo ensemble on Wednesday, including a wool dress and a pair of cutout pumps.
