Meryl Streep had a statement Stuart Weitzman boot moment at the world premiere of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” on Monday at Lincoln Center in New York City.
The actress leaned in thematically for the premiere look with a red Givenchy by Sarah Burton look. She showcased a scarlet leather cape-like dress with a matching necktie. Dramatic black accents included above-the-elbow gloves, oversized sunglasses and her Stuart Weitzman boots. Streep showcased the Stuart Power Bootie 100 in black stretch leather which features a tall stiletto heel and pointed toe, making for a sleek and sharp silhouette.
Working with stylist Micaela Erlanger, Streep has showcased a number of striking footwear looks throughout “The Devil Wears Prada 2” press tour. In alignment with the film, she’s had multiple red pump moments, including earlier in the day on Monday with Jimmy Choo Isa 95 pumps. She also wore red patent leather pumps from Dolce & Gabbana for the global press junket on Friday and red slingback pumps from Aldo at an event in Mexico City in March. Another shoe look she’s showcased is the Sole Bliss Riviera gold leather sandal from Erlanger’s collaborative collection with Sole Bliss.
