On Monday, Meryl Streep, who is currently promoting “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” paid homage to the film, stepping out in bright red heels — a hallmark of her character Miranda Priestly’s wardrobe. For the outing, Streep leaned into monochromatic dressing, pairing her Jimmy Choo heels with coordinating pieces in the same rich hue.
Streep opted for the luxury footwear house’s Isa 95 pumps, which — like many of Jimmy Choo’s heels — are defined by a sculptural drop heel. Also available in black, the $1,050 shoes featured a deep V-neck silhouette, a striking detail currently gaining traction in the footwear space, along with a slingback strap for added practicality. A leather finish and pointed toe further sharpened the look.
Styled by Micaela Erlanger, the legendary actress doubled down on red, pairing the shoes with a knee-grazing leather trenchcoat in the same vibrant shade. Underneath the coat, Streep wore a red-and-white striped button-up, grounding the look with relaxed white trousers. Deep red sunglasses, a skinny leather belt and Mulberry’s black leather Amberley top-handle bag rounded out the statement-making ensemble. Streep also slipped on KWit’s pink tourmaline mood orb ring, a piece she’s been wearing throughout the international press tour, while her low ponytail kept the focus squarely on the red-and-white look.

Red heels have been a clear throughline throughout the press circuit as well. At the end of March, for instance, Streep attended a conference for the movie in Mexico City, clad in Aldo’s glossy red Amilie slingback heels, which retail for $110. Meanwhile, over the summer, the actress was seen filming the sequel in crimson peep-toe satin platforms, while the first teaser for “Devil Wears Prada 2” showed her character in red Valentino Rockstud stilettos. With the film set to premiere on May 1, it’s safe to assume her red heel streak is far from over.
