Kim Kardashian stepped out in hot pink pantaboots on Tuesday while visiting Balenciaga’s headquarters in Paris.
The built-in stiletto-legging hybrid — a molded shoe fused with matching tights — formed the foundation of Kardashian’s latex-look halter dress, which featured a plunging neckline, center keyhole and delicate bow-tie detail.
Often mistaken for Balenciaga’s viral “sock” shoes referenced by Cardi B in her 2018 song “I Like It,” Pantaboots take the brand’s skintight aesthetic further, extending the silhouette to hip height with a pointed toe and spike heel.
Kardashian paired the look with oversize rectangular sunglasses in glossy black and wore her hair in a softly curled, side-parted bob. The styling choice appeared to reference vintage doll aesthetics, underscoring the caption she posted to Instagram hours earlier: “Balenci Barbie 4Lyfe.”

The outfit marks one of several archival or custom Balenciaga looks Kardashian has worn during her tenure as an official brand ambassador. She confirmed her attendance at the Tuesday couture show via Instagram Stories, sharing a photo of herself in a black leather Balenciaga jacket and Pantaboots with the caption, “It’s Demna’s last Balenciaga show tomorrow… so I will be pantabooting the f*** out of these!!!” before sharing another slide with the Barbie transformation.
Kardashian was named an official ambassador for Balenciaga in January 2024, formalizing a relationship that had already included runway appearances, campaign partnerships and Met Gala red carpet moments with creative director Demna.
She has since appeared in multiple editions of Balenciaga’s Characters campaign, worn custom gowns at events like the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, and incorporated the brand’s design signatures, including distressed tights and sculpted bodycon silhouettes, into red carpet appearances and editorials.
