Eva Longoria Keeps It Classic in Hermès Turnlock Sandals for Marbella Event

Her flat leather sandals, finished with signature hardware, put an updated twist on quiet luxury.

Eva Longoria just gave thong sandals the quiet luxury treatment in Marbella.

The actress and producer attended the inauguration of a monolith honoring Maria Bravo at Casa Angeles on Wednesday, wearing a breezy geo-print dress and a pair of Hermès thong sandals that were anything but casual. The flat brown leather style featured the house’s signature palladium turnlock at the strap — a polished detail that gave the silhouette structure without taking away its ease.

Longoria’s sandals followed a classic T-strap layout, anchored by a narrow sole with a slightly burnished edge and low heel. The fit was minimal but purposeful, styled to play off the relaxed silhouette of her Misa Los Angeles midi dress. The dress itself featured a scoop neckline and allover green and white geometric print, with delicate straps and a semisheer flow.

While Longoria is no stranger to sky-high heels — she’s regularly spotted in platform sandals by Flor de Maria or strappy stilettos from Aquazzura — her Marbella look was a reminder that flat doesn’t have to mean basic. In fact, it’s part of a subtle shift: she’s worn Hermès flats before, but this season’s thong silhouettes are having a broader moment.

From Solange’s sold-out Maryam Nassir Zadeh Tupelos at Telfar’s New York City show to the fashion block party happening across Copenhagen this week, thong sandals are everywhere — and they’re evolving. Heeled, bubbled, square-toed, strapped or leathered out with metal accents like Longoria’s, the shape is proving its range. Even The Row’s Dune made the Lyst Index top 10 for Q2, while Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma jelly slide took the internet by storm twice in one summer.

Longoria’s Hermès sandals did what good accessories do: sharpened the silhouette without interrupting it. The hardware brought a bit of structure to the otherwise soft geometry of the dress, and the flat sole kept the whole look grounded — literally and stylistically.
