Brooks Nader kept to her signature formula on Wednesday night, bringing back Aquazzura’s mirrored stilettos — the same pair spotted just days earlier — for the rooftop premiere of “Love Thy Nader” in West Hollywood.
The “Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Edition” model wore Aquazzura’s Purist 105 sandals, which seem to be her go-to stilettos. Made in Italy in mirrored leather, the style is pared down to its essentials: two narrow straps that cross at the toes, a slender ankle strap and a slim stiletto heel. Aquazzura’s signature powder-pink sole and golden pineapple emblem finished the underside, a house detail that fans of the designer believe is a sign of good luck.
Her dress mirrored the minimalism of the shoes in structure but not in surface. The hot-pink mini was cut low with a plunging halter neckline, centered by a circular keyhole cutout. A wash of tonal crystals caught light across the fabric, fastened at the neckline with a jeweled clasp. Long loose hair, a bronzed makeup palette and a glossy nude lip kept the styling straightforward, leaving the shoe-dress contrast intact.

Just a few days prior, Nader wore the same Purist pair at a Jaguar event during Monterey Car Week, pairing the gold stilettos with an asymmetric beige Stella McCartney dress. Earlier this summer, she styled them with a floor-length black halter dress for a Los Angeles dinner, and in June, she anchored another black gown with the same set. Across settings, the equation remains consistent: thin metallic straps, high heels and little else.
The silhouette’s persistence has placed Nader in a broader current. Metallic strappy sandals have been a favored red carpet punctuation this season. Elizabeth Hurley reached for a subdued gold pair at “The Inheritance” photo call in London this month, while Eva Longoria recently styled Aquazzura’s All I Want sandals with a yellow Maticevski dress while promoting “Searching for Spain.” At July’s ESPYs, names from Alison Brie to Suni Lee embraced similar silhouettes in high-shine finishes.
For Nader, the repetition has become part of her fashion identity — and an interesting counterpoint to what she told WWD earlier this week about her style philosophy. “Maximalism. I don’t know if this is technically trending, but can we make it trend?” she said. “More is more. We only have one life, so let’s live it up and wear the crazy things. Even if someone says it’s too much.” On the red carpet, that translates into crystal-studded minis and cutout gowns — but almost always balanced by the same stripped-back stilettos. The contrast has become her formula: excess up top, restraint at floor level.
The evening marked a milestone for Nader and her sisters, who celebrated their upcoming reality series with a rooftop cocktail party that drew attendees, including the Culpo Sisters, Dixie D’Amelio and Nick Viall. “Love Thy Nader” will premiere Aug. 26 on Freeform, with the full season available Aug. 27 on Hulu.
