NEW DEAL: Beginning next season, the Copenhagen fairs landscape will see a major reshuffle. Vision, one of the three competing trade fairs that the city offers — along with Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) and Gallery — is set to be replaced by a new event called Revolver.
Revolver is the brainchild of Gallery creative director and partner Christian Maibom in partnership with Vision owner Jan Carlsen.
“After 15 seasons at the same location [Forum] and against the backdrop of the financial crisis, I felt it was time to step out from Gallery and to create a new project based on strict curating [of the brands],” Maibom explained.

Revolver is to take place at two different locations. “Design-driven brands will be showing at Øksnehallen [a former market hall where the most recent edition of Vision was held] while more commercial and high-street brands will be at Lokomotiven [outside the city where past editions were held],” explained Trine Lindegaard, a spokeswoman for Vision.
Vision’s Designers’ Nest competition — which was awarded to Andreas Eklöf, a student at the Swedish School of Textiles, last week — is to continue under its name.
Revolver is scheduled to be held from Jan. 29 to 31. New dates for CIFF weren’t available at press time.
