Keke Palmer complemented bold color with the clear shoes trend at the “I Love Boosters” premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Styled by Molly Dickson for the occasion, Palmer went with a minimalist heel from Paris Texas featuring a mirror leather silver sole and a simple transparent PVC strap across the toes — all around creating a barely-there look. She specifically wore the Lidia mule from the luxury footwear brand, a popular style featuring the brand’s pin heel. Her choice of footwear is one of many recent celebrity looks signaling the continued relevance of the clear heels trend, which manifests in materials ranging from PVC to TPU to mesh. Hannah Einbinder just made a style statement at the Cannes Film Festival wearing Alaïa thong sandals featuring a plexiglass wedge.
Palmer’s shoes were paired with a throwback dress from Blumarine, specifically a spring 2010 design. The garment featured a halter neck, a fitted bodice with ruching, and a high slit at the top of the full-length skirt. Some sparkling embellishment was set against the tie-dye-esque design of fuchsia, orange and white. As for the rest of her look, Palmer wore her copper boho braids in an updo, and her makeup included a glossy dark pink lip, which matched her dress.
