During New York Fashion Week, Sloane’s at The Manner was the backdrop for WWD to host its semiannual New York Fashion Week dinner on Sept. 16; the publication marked the occasion as part of its 115th anniversary celebrations.
Designers and executives in attendance included Tory Burch and her husband Pierre Yves-Roussel, chief executive officer of the company; Thom Browne; Narciso Rodriguez; Anna Sui; Alejandra Alonso Rojas; Prabal Gurung; Ronnie Fieg and his wife Shir; Christian Siriano; Alexis Bittar; Patricio Campillo; Aknvas’ creative director Christian Juul Nielsen, and Fforme’s creative director Frances Howie and CEO Joey Laurenti. Also attending were Bloomingdale’s CEO Olivier Bron, Saks’ CEO Marc Metrick, and Bergdorf Goodman CEO Tracy Margolies.
The designers, CEOs and other industry leaders attending used the cocktail party and dinner to catch up after fashion week. The event was an intimate affair, filled with WWD’s milestone issue woven throughout its florals and WWD branded pistachio tiramisu to end the night.
Another major fashion week moment on Sept. 9 saw Sanderlak launch its brand and capsule collection at The Apartment at The Manner. The preview for “Year 01, Capsule 1” paid tribute to Los Angeles with VIP guests kicking off their NYFW to toast the occasion. For the event, The Apartment was transformed into a showroom, with its rustic yet glam décor and its laid-back spirit lending itself as the ideal backdrop to Sanderlak’s debut collection.
Notable attendees included Maggie Rogers; Katie Holmes; designer Christopher John Rogers; director of fashion and lifestyle at Saks Global, Chloe King; film director Lucy Walker; filmmaker Nia DaCosta; curator Rujeko Hockley; fashion news director at Vogue, Mark Holgate; editor in chief of A Magazine Curated By, Blake Abbie and more.
Since launching a year ago today on Sept. 23, The Manner has become one of the hottest spots in SoHo — it has won numerous hospitality awards, such as the 2025 Hospitality Design Award.
The Manner is a 97-room retreat with 10 balcony suites over 12 floors that provide guests with a serene space to unwind. Rooms feature bath amenities from Costa Brazil, curated and complimentary food and beverages in the room based on personalized questionnaires, and exclusive access to The Apartment and The Rooftop. Just steps away, Onda Beauty provides luxury treatments and wellness experiences for hotel guests to enjoy access and priority bookings.
Three food and beverage options complement the hotel: The Otter is its ground-floor seafood-forward, all-day restaurant by acclaimed chef Alex Stupak, Sloane’s is its second-floor cocktail bar, The Apartment is its exclusive clubhouse space for hotel guests only and the Rooftop is an idyllic escape with cityscape views.
