The color red has dominated fashion, beauty, and decor in 2024 — no one knows this better than Badvillain, a girl group that has burst into the music scene this year.
From the start of their career, the band Badvillain has proven their popularity. With high YouTube views marking a successful debut, the story behind the creation of Badvillainis unlike the villainous image one might be familiar with.
Badvillain and The Color Red
Chloe Young, the group’s leader, said, “Badvillain means breaking down the limits set by the world and the boundaries created by others! The abbreviation ‘BV’ also stands for ‘Born to be Visionary,’ reflecting our confident ambition and identity to become heroes on a new stage as we pursue our dreams and goals!”
Ina recalled the phrases, “If not me, then who?” and “It will be okay in the end, if that’s not okay, it’s not the end” while defining her passions. These words strengthened her until Badvillain’s debut, displaying their determination.
“When I think of Emma when I first saw her,” Vin said. “Her charismatic appearance came to my mind. She indeed has a charismatic side, but she is also very playful and takes good care of the members as the eldest member. I really rely on her now!”
Emma, who is often called the trendiest member, said, “The color red is this year’s trend color! I think red suits everyone, regardless of cool or warm-toned skin. Since red is a bold color, it looks beautiful as a fashion point. So, when I think of red, items like hats and shoes that can serve as fashion points come to mind!”
Badvillain’s Musical Journey
Beyond fashion and color stories, Badvillain’s latest single, “Hurricane,” was previously released as a performance video on their official YouTube channel. The earlier version featured a rap-only version, while the new release featured additional vocal arrangements.
“When we first heard the arranged version,” Hu’e said. “All of us loved it so much that we just exclaimed ‘Wow’ and were all amazed together. We also thought about sharing this song with many people as soon as possible.”
Emma expressed during dance lessons how much she liked her bridge of the song. This reflects the positive reactions from the members and the freshness and enjoyment they find in every step of their newfound journey into the music industry.
“I hope that amidst your busy daily lives, you can find joy and healing by watching Badvillain,” Kelly said. “I hope you continue to grow true to yourselves and nurture your own personalities. Please continue to show us lots of interest and love, Badvillain, in the future!”
Badvillain – composed of Chloe Young, YunSeo, Ina, Vin, Emma, Kelly and Hu’e – embodies both the intensity and passion of the color red. With their potential and energy, they could become the next big girl group to hit the music scene.
