Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s youngest son Prince Louis celebrated his eighth birthday on Thursday. The Prince and Princess of Wales commemorated the occasion with a new portrait of the 8-year-old, which they shared on their official Instagram account.
For the portrait, captured by photographer Matt Porteous, Prince Louis wore a Boden half-zip knit jumper in a shade of nautical blue, with red trim at the end of the sleeves and a white interior collar. The photo was captured during Prince William and Middleton’s family holiday in Cornwall.
“Happy birthday, Louis! 8 today!” read the caption to the post, which also featured a red balloon emoji. The British royal couple also shared a secondary post to commemorate Prince Louis’ birthday, this time a video of the newly minted 8-year-old on holiday.
