Zac Posen continues to wield his sartorial touch on Gap basics.
This week Gap unveiled GapStudio, a new line of elevated pieces designed by the Gap Inc. creative director and his dedicated design team in New York City.
The holiday drop focuses on versatile day-to-night wardrobe essentials including a black denim belted sleeveless midi dress and a ribbed tank maxi dress available in black, burgundy and white. Cropped and full-length moto jackets made with coated denim are also part of the collection. The leather-like jackets have been seen on Demi Moore, Emily Ratajkowski and Alton Mason ahead of the launch.
The collection retails for $128-$248. It is available now on gap.com and will launch in Japan on Jan. 14 online and in Gap’s Shinjuku flagship stores.
Gap said the GapStudio will expand in stores and online in Spring 2025.
Posen is putting his stamp on the Gap brand. Earlier this year Gap launched a $158 white poplin shirt dress modeled after a custom Gap dress Posen created for Anne Hathaway. Posen has also designed an upcycled denim dress for model Coco Rocha and a denim gown for Da’Vine Joy Randolph for the Met Gala.
Vogue highlights Posen’s elevation of the brand in the December digital issue as well as the brand’s buzzy collaborations with Dôen and Cult Gaia.
