Wrangler is going back to school.
The heritage denim brand teamed with State Bags for a 10-piece collection of back-to-school essentials. The collection combines Wrangler’s denim and cowboy roots with State’s focus on functional design.
“We’re so excited to partner with Wrangler, an iconic brand we’ve long admired, to create a collection that celebrates individuality and self-expression. With a shared commitment to quality and empowering the next generation, we designed each piece to help kids feel confident, capable, and ready for whatever adventure comes next,” said Jacq Tatelman, State co-founder, CEO and creative director.
For Wrangler, the collaboration solidifies the brand’s commitment to its growing kids’ business. The brand had successful collections with Mattel’s iconic brands, Barbie and Hot Wheels. In 2023, Wrangler released a collection with sustainable Swedish children’s brand Mini Rodini.
“Wrangler’s timeless style and heritage resonate deeply with families, and we are thrilled to extend that authentic spirit to young adventurers through this collaboration with State,” said John Meagher, VP of global brand marketing at Wrangler. “This new collection is about more than just denim and bags; it’s about providing kids with the coolest, freshest fits so they can show off their unique style and kick off the school year feeling confident and ready for anything.”
The collection offers four variations of State’s signature Kane backpack and four matching Rodgers lunchboxes. The Kane backpack has a spacious main compartment with internal organization and a front zip pocket with a D-ring for charms. The bag is ideal for kindergarten through third grade.
The Rodgers lunchboxes have a fully insulated main compartment featuring a detachable divider and a see-through pocket for notes or pictures. The lunchboxes fit perfectly inside the Kane backpack for easy carrying.
Designs span striped color blocking, colorful flowers, denim and silver stars and multi-color checkerboard prints.
Jean jackets made with 100 percent cotton anchor the collection. The boys’ style features orange, blue and stripe color blocking. The girls’ style is made with coated denim and embellished with puff embroidery and flowers. Both jackets feature Wrangler’s signature ‘W’ stitching and a co-branded rubber patch at the hem. The full-size range for jackets is XS-XXL and is suitable for ages 4-14 years.
The collection retails for $49.99-$149.99 and is available on both brands’ websites.
