Spanx is giving denim a stylish new shape with its latest collection.
Last week the Atlanta-based shapewear brand launched SpanxShape Authentic 360, a denim collection that marries trend-driven silhouettes with the brand’s signature shaping technology.
The collection introduces 360-degree shaping technology to denim without adding bulk. The technology centers on a strategically engineered shaping panel integrated into the jeans’ construction. This panel wraps fully around the waist, tummy and back, delivering smooth, medium-level compression that supports and enhances curves, without compromising comfort or mobility, explained Pascale Gueracague, Spanx chief design officer.
Lightweight 4-way stretch denim is used throughout the collection. The fabric’s cotton, polyester and elastane blend allows garments to move with the wearer while providing comfortable, dig-free wear all day.
“The line was designed to serve as her go-to, everyday denim, built for real women, real bodies, and real life,” Gueracague said. “We wanted to create the look and feel of premium, authentic denim, but with best-in-class functional shaping benefits that are distinctively Spanx.”
Spanx consumers are familiar with 360-degree shaping. The feature is a hallmark of several other successful products lines like the SpanxShape Invisible Supima, a line of Supima cotton garments with shaping technology.
“Ultimately, this collection is about empowering women to feel confident in denim that works as hard as they do, no compromises needed,” Gueracague added.
SpanxShape Authentic 360 Denim leans into the growing demand for roomy fits. Key styles include a barrel leg, wide-leg, cropped wide-leg and ’90s straight. The jeans have strategically placed back pockets to lift and contour. A denim mini skirt and jean jacket are also part of the collection.
Gueracague added that classic details like functional pockets and secure zip-and-button closures keep the look authentic and versatile. Washes span light to dark indigo and black. Sizes XS to 3X are available across petite, regular and tall inseams. The collection retails for $138-$158.
Denim is an increasingly important segment for Spanx. In January, the brand introduced jeans made with The Lycra Company’s FitSense technology. The collection offered bottoms with targeted sculpting zones.
Gueracague emphasized that SpanxShape Authentic 360 Denim is “not just a seasonal addition.”
“It’s a foundational piece in our commitment to providing stylish, comfortable, and flattering denim options that are designed in modern silhouettes and a beautiful wash range to create an authentic look and feel,” she said.
