Texture was a strong theme in the street style seen during Milan Fashion Week.
Stepping away from the ’90s vintage denim trend, several fashion week attendees stepped out in dark indigo denim with visible slubs and veiny surfaces. Workwear-inspired stitching and intense washes accentuated extreme highs and lows.
A crinkled black leather bomber was paired with worn-in black jeans, and black knits and wool coats were styled with washed black jeans for monochromatic looks.
Light wash denim also made the scene. Yellow-tinted bleached jeans paired with an oversized distressed leather bomber. Another attendee styled light wash relaxed jeans with a feather-embellished wool coat. Ecru denim also made an appearance, baggy and distressed for a grittier winter look.
Jeans frequently puddled over wider footwear styles like patent loafers and round-toe boots.
Jeans—from a pair of ankle-skimming barrel jeans to relaxed raw jeans—were commonly paired with check blazers, printed neckties and button-down shirts, including styles with exaggerated collars. The look was a continuation of the tailored street style seen at Pitti Uomo in Florence.
