Loose Threads: Lee, Patricia Nash, Gabba and Gap

Here’s a quick roundup of the latest news from leading denim brands.

Gabba

Danish brand Gabba debuted a collection with Turkish mill lsko at Pitti Immagine Uomo this week.

The collection features SelfDry, Isko’s new denim finish that helps cut drying time while preserving the fabric’s raw, authentic texture. The result is a fabric with a timeless look inspired by Japanese craftsmanship.

Gabba features the finish across nine styles including jeans, denim jackets, kimonos, bags and more.

Lee x Scye x United Arrow

U.S. heritage brand Lee reunited Scye, the Japanese men’s brand inspired by British classics, for a second installment in their ongoing partnership. The collection is available exclusively at Japanese retailer United Arrows.

The new collection builds on the success of the first, which was released in December.

The five-piece capsule collection brings back the Loco Jacket and the 101 Cowboy Pants, updated in a new one-wash fabric. The jacket is made with Lee’s original 10.5 oz. Jelt Denim and features Scye’s pivot sleeve, designed for increased mobility. The wide straight pants are made with the 13.5 oz. white edge right twill denim and have iron donut-shaped laurel buttons and crotch rivets like the ones used during during World War II.

A new Cowboy Jacket modeled on a 1930s style has been added and is made in the same fabric as the pants. The jacket has curved flap design of the front pockets, a simplified buckle back and back pleats.

A baseball cap and a denim tote bag featuring a pocket inspired by the design of the Cowboy Pants’ back pocket round out the collection.
