Lee’s limited-edition collaboration with London-based designer Feng Chen Wang arrives in the U.S. in time for festival season.
The Lee x Feng Chen Wang collection reinvents the heritage denim brand’s silhouettes through deconstruction and artisanal techniques. Asymmetric seams, updated proportions and fabric treatments like lasering and tie-dye are featured throughout the collection.
Already available in Asia, the Kontoor Brands-owned denim brand recently launched the men’s and women’s collection in Europe and North America.
“Feng Chen Wang’s approach highlights how Lee denim can be a canvas to evolve timeless styles into something new,” said Joe Broyles, Lee’s global vice president of collaborations. “It’s a great collaboration to launch during festival season, when customers are looking for denim styles that are unique and standout, yet very wearable.”
The capsule collection draws heavily on the designer’s connection to nature and her balance of traditional Chinese influence with modern streetwear aesthetics. Bamboo motifs are laser-etched throughout the collection. The plant’s symbolism of strength and flexibility mirrors how denim evolves, shaped by time and wear.
The men’s collection includes the Rider jacket with a relaxed layering fit and cinch-back; cowboy jacket with bold offset front panels; barrel jeans with extra-wide legs; wide straight jeans with front and back panels; a pocket denim shirt with a relaxed fit and an oversized logo tee.
Women’s pieces include a full zip denim jacket with a cropped hem and flipped spade pockets; low-rise slouchy jeans; a denim skirt with an asymmetric hem and raw fringe detailing; a cropped logo tee available in indigo and white; and an oversized denim button-down shirt.
“This collaboration reengineers the iconic Lee 101 silhouettes through a contemporary lens, celebrating its more than a century of style,” said Feng Chen Wang said in a statement. “I used bamboo as my muse, interpreting its natural shape and resilience through unconventional cuts and washing techniques that honor both tradition and transformation.”
The Lee x Feng Chen Wang collection retails for $50-$120. It is available on both brands’ websites and at select Lee-owned stores in Europe, North Carolina and on Zalando.com.
