Troye Sivan’s brand Tsu Lange Yor (TLY) is “just getting started” in fashion.
On Friday, the Grammy-nominated singer announced that his Australia-based brand (which, up until now, only sold home goods and fragrances) partnered with 2024 CFDA Emerging Designer of the Year Henry Zankov for its first fashion collaboration.
The capsule collection, inspired by the idea of heirlooms, consists of three items: a beanie, blanket and sweater. Reflecting the “In My Room” singer’s emphasis on quality over quantity, the limited assortment was designed to be “timeless, seductive and made to last.”
“On the day I moved into my [Melbourne] house [in 2021], I draped one of Zankov’s blankets over the sofa (you can see it in basically all the pics I’ve ever posted—it’s the black and white one). It’s become part of the fabric of the home and slept with me mannyyyy a nights on the couch,” Sivan said in an Instagram post. “This Tsu Lange Yor x Zankov collaboration is about creating that same kind of enduring, simple beauty—pieces that feel like you’ll have them forever. To long years, y’all.”
Sivan and Zankov took a unisex approach to the collection, designing pieces without traditional gender labels.
The sizing follows suit, with the two-tone ribbed polo sweater offered in two sizes (01 and 02), and the beanie available in a one-size-fits-all design. Each item is knit from a blend of 30 percent cashmere and 70 percent Australian Merino wool—an “important nod to the label’s roots”—and produced in a family-owned artisanal factory in Italy.
“These natural fiber were chosen for their longevity and lower environmental impact (regenerative and biodegradable),” TLY told Sourcing Journal. “We made sure to source the materials with care, guided by the principles of circular design: The yarn is certified Cradle to Cradle (C2C), Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) and mulesing free.”
While the collection, priced between $218-$1,118., doesn’t officially launch until July 19, customers can sign up now for early access. Those that sign up for early access will receive password-protected entry to preview the collection on TLY’s online store starting July 17.
“I’m really at my happiest when I’m creating, I always have been. To me there’s something magical about the process—collaboration, play, exploration. I had been reflecting on a lot while traveling and living overseas to [figure out] what makes a home. How do I want the space to feel? Smell? Be lit? How can I create a space for my family and I to enjoy for many years? Tsu Lange Yor is a culmination of that creativity and reflection—a way for me to share my love for home and space and self with all of you,” Sivan said about the brand, which was co-founded with his brother Steele Mellet.
