Omnichannel retailer J.Jill announced that Claire Spofford, J.Jill’s president and chief executive officer, will retire. J.Jill has retained an executive search firm to assist in identifying her successor. Spofford is expected to remain in her current role until April 2025 and will work closely with the executive team and the board of directors to ensure a smooth transition. Spofford became CEO in February 2021 and previously held leadership positions at Cornerstone Brands and Timberland.

Luxury conglomerate Kering and its subsidiary Bottega Veneta announced Louise Trotter as Bottega’s new creative director. Trotter, creative director of Carven, will join the house at the end of next month.

The reason for her exit is unclear.

Circulose, the Swedish textile recycler previously known as Renewcell, announced the appointment of Sara Diez Jauregui and Kalyan Madabhushi to its board of directors. Diez Jauregui is the CEO of the Post Fiber and serves on the board of directors of Revolution Race. Madabhushi is an experienced CEO with over 34 years of leadership in global businesses. Having held senior roles at Royal Dutch Shell and Aditya Birla Group (ABG), he has led initiatives in the chemicals, fertilizers and sustainable textile fibers sectors.

As CEO, Askin will lead business operations, working closely with Texbase founder Joe Walkuski and Texbase’s senior management to implement an accelerated growth strategy for the company. Prior to his new role, Askin served several years as a member of the Texbase board of directors.

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics announced the appointment of Martin Habisreitinger as chief operating officer (COO) airfreight, effective next February. He will succeed Jan Kleine-Lasthues, who has decided to pursue other opportunities after 13 years with Hellmann. Habisreitinger will report to Madhav Kurup, who will assume the position of chief operating officer airfreight, seafreight, and contract logistics on the global management board at the beginning of next year.
