Kering
Luxury house Kering announced the appointment of Mélanie Flouquet, chief strategy officer, and Armelle Poulou, chief financial officer, to the group’s executive committee. With these two appointments, the committee is now comprised of 13 members, 46 percent of whom are women.
Flouquet worked at JP Morgan for 20 years as managing director, leading the luxury goods equity team. She joined Kering in May 2021. Poulou held various financial positions in France and globally before joining Kering in 2019 as director of corporate finance, treasury and insurance. She was appointed CFO of the group last September.
Another Tomorrow
Sustainable fashion brand Another Tomorrow announced that actress Angelina Jolie has joined the company as strategic advisor. Jolie said she’s joining the advisory board because founder Vanessa Barboni Hallik is “building a different path in this industry.” Hallik said Jolie’s “deep humanitarian commitment and expansive vision” are a “consistent source of inspiration” for Another Tomorrow.

Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey Inc. named Ana Buitrago and fashion designer Maxwell Osborne to its board of directors.
Buitrago is a board and strategic advisor in e-commerce, technology and AI, energy, environmental social governance as well as risk and regulation. As PWC’s senior advisor, she advises internal PWC organizations and Fortune 500 and industry-leading clients in designing solutions to address needs, improve processes and optimize resources.
Maxwell Osborne is a New York-based fashion designer and the founder of luxury brand, anOnlyChild.

Material Exchange
Material Exchange, a group that helps connect sustainable producers with companies looking to source preferred materials, has hired textile and apparel professional Wilson Avalos to lead the company’s latest expansion initiative as vice president of apparel and sourcing. In this new position, Avalos will lead Material Exchange’s new U.S. apparel sourcing division, assisting the group’s customers in sourcing apparel production through a network of suppliers.
Before joining Material Exchange, Avalos spent 10 years at Grupo Siete Leguas, the vertical denim manufacturer in Mexico. Avalos was named executive vice president of the company in 2019.
