Every season, a new handbag is deemed the be-all and end-all in the world of fashion, whether it starts gaining popularity though word of mouth (It-girls do love sharing their latest purse acquisitions during weekend brunches), on TikTok, or after an iconic designer spotlights it on their runway. The latter is true for Tory Burch’s Lee Radziwill Double Bag, which stole the show at the label’s spring 2026 showcase on September 15 and since then, has been selling at a rapid clip on toryburch.com.
Before we make the case for why you need this designer handbag in 2025, it’s important to journey back in time to 2018, which is when the status-symbol accessory debuted. Named after fashion icon, socialite, and Jacqueline Kennedy’s younger sister Lee Radziwill, the silhouette comes in a few different iterations (including the Shoulder Bag style, either pebbled, croc-embossed, or suede for the larger size; the Double Bag; and the Mini Top-Handle Bag). But it is the Double Bag that’s been experiencing the biggest revival in the past month.
Tory Burch‘s spring 2026 runway featured the boxy, structured bag with lock-and-key hardware and an on-trend belt detail in many hues (from glossy black to the butter yellow that’s been trending in the worlds of both fashion and interior design). There are multiple styles too, like those in which the handles swapped leather for shiny metals, adding a contemporary twist and masterfully pairing with the models’ midi skirts, playful outerwear clad in primary colors, and preppy tailoring.
Beyond all this, we were most stunned to see the Tory Burch Lee Radziwill Double Bag flood the show’s front row, appearing in the hands of stars like Emma Roberts, who chose its cream-colored variation, Jessica Alba, toting the suede pick, and more. While these A-listers became the lucky owners of the handbag’s spring 2026 makeover faster than you ever could (the reinterpretations, which primarily manifest in amped-up hardware and more finish options, aren’t yet available to shop online), they granted all of us a taste of what’s to come, and it’s safe to say we’re nothing short of obsessed.
The Lee Radziwill Double Bag is one of those rare birds that effectively merges form and function. Curiously inspired by the folds of a trench coat‘s collar, it can be worn similarly to this fall style staple: either open, semi-open, or snapped fully shut. The carryall’s German calfskin leather is Leather Working Group–certified, meaning it’s made responsibly and sustainably, and this fabric is further elevated through the powers of its corresponding Italian suede trim, which makes all those formal edges gloriously softer. In case hauling the purchase by its top handles is not your preference, it also comes with a removable shoulder strap. And should the bag’s stud closures not constitute enough metal hardware for you, shine is added through the item’s belted strap with slider buckle closure for good measure.
“I carry my Lee Radziwill Double Bag almost every day — wherever I’m going,” says Tory Burch in the collection’s introductory video. Our hope is that, soon enough, you’ll be able to say the same for yourself. The piece’s effortless elegance and contemporary allure, able to amplify everything from your favorite leather jacket to the denim dress you can’t spend fall without, are, after all, just a click away.
