Feeling a French vacation? Selena Gomez has just the thing to get your nails on point, whether you’re jet-setting or just seeking out a new nail polish look for spring. The singer wore a stunning French nail tip manicure in her latest “Love On” music video that dropped last week — and the exact Essie nail polish shades used to create her French nail look are on sale now on Amazon.
For Gomez’s “Love On” manicure, nail artist Tom Bachik used the shades Mademoiselle and Blanc to create a fun, fresh take on the classic French nail tip. Bachik — who makes a cameo in the music video — told Allure that the style was different for the singer, who prefers a “bit shorter nail with fun, happy colors.” But as they wanted nails that worked seamlessly across multiple looks, a French manicure fit the bill perfectly. The nails tied in seamlessly with the rest of the singer’s looks, which felt both flirty and vintage-inspired, with several ’60s and ‘balletcore’ trend references. Bachik used the shade Mademoiselle (a classic pink) for a “fresh, clean base,” then using Essie’s Blanc for a “exaggerated, bright white ’90s” tip before finishing with Essie’s Gel Couture Top Coat.
